What Do We Believe

Declaration of the Institutional Philosophy for the Training of Students
TIAMST is committed to the truth that the Bible is central to the Christian life and that Christians are called to a holy life of witness and service in the power of the Holy Spirit. The educational goal of TIAMST is "love born of a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith." (I Tim. 1:5). TIAMST combines programs in theology and general education so that students can recognize and interact with biblical and anti-biblical worldviews. Students are educated in disciplines that help them further understand and defend the Scriptures, preparing them for their personal ministry and impact those. around them.
From this basic philosophy flow two essential objectives - personal growth and community ministry. Said students to continue the life, education and ministry of each student, TIAMST encourages said students to continue growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. To accomplish this, TIAMST provides a variety of planned learning opportunities, culminating in a bachelor's degree designed for its students to demonstrate a godly lifestyle grounded in biblical principles.
A student's personal growth at TIAMST depends on the development of Christian character along with academic knowledge. Christian character is cultivated through biblical knowledge, proper interpretation of the Scriptures, prayer, repentance from sin, and the application of spiritual gifts through a dependence on the Holy Spirit. Academic knowledge comprises emotional, intellectual and social disciplines that help students develop skills for problem solving, communication, as well as the development and maintenance of interpersonal relationships.
